The vision of Destiny Alive Church was given prophetically by the Holy Spirit to Tim Banfield in early 2016. In this vision three key scriptures were given by God to Tim: i. Philippians 3:10-14; ii. Ezekiel 37:1-14; and iii. Ephesians 4:11-16.
Essentially, the key components to this God-given vision are:
i. Establish a church and movement that the Holy Spirit has free reign to build people to:
a. Know the Lord Jesus Christ;
b. Personally experience His resurrection power through a crucified lifestyle; and
c. Minister His resurrection power;
ii. Christians to be alive, empowered, and successful in their walks with God by knowing their Spirit inspired purpose in life (Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Proverbs 29:18; Romans 8:28-29 ). Furthermore, this includes the Apostolic call of God that Christians are to transform the world through seven spheres of influence: church, family, education, government, media, arts, and business (Isaiah 2:2-3; Matthew 5:14; Revelation 17:9), as Jesus wants to heal the nations (Acts 3:21; Genesis 1:28; Luke 19:10; and Revelation 22:1-2);
and
iii. God Himself has given His church a five-fold mandate of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers to train & equip His people, so that each of them would do the work of the ministry, in order that they grow to full maturity, which is progressively becoming more like Jesus Christ in heart, thought, word, and deed (Ephesians 4:11-16). Whilst we honour all past, present, and future Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, & Itinerant Ministers, we declare that the Holy Spirit is now revealing and restoring in these "last-days" (2 Peter 3:3) a New Testament truth: Jesus as the cornerstone of His church is wanting to build it once again on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets until He returns in glory (Ephesians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 12:28). Therefore, we will be a catalyst and forerunner in this pioneering move to reveal and restore the Biblical-principled primary leadership of God's church, through first Apostles, and second Prophets, who will work alongside with the other five-fold ministry gifts, for the express purpose of God and His kingdom (Matthew 9:16-17; Mark 2:21-22; Luke 5:36-39).
Image Note: Its verse comes from Proverbs 29:18 which can be read as saying, "Where there is no prophetic vision (or revelation from God), the people cast off restraint, so they no longer faithfully interpret God's Word and live up to His ways". So, to answer any "out of context" criticism of the image's verse as used above, it can be derived that the Christian believer will wander aimlessly in life without Spirit inspired vision and purpose.
