"Mr. Eternity" or Arthur Malcolm Stace (9 February 1885 – 30 July 1967), was an Australian soldier in WW1. He gained fame as a reformed alcoholic who converted to Christianity, and spread his message by writing the word, "Eternity", in copperplate writing with chalk on footpaths in and around Sydney, from Martin Place to Parramatta for about 35 years, from 1932 to 1967. So, it was then that Australians & our visitors celebrated at the turn of the century,"Eternity", on New Years Eve. This was & still is a prophetic sign to our nation.

I think the question remains though, why was Stace so caught up with "Eternity"?

Stace was illiterate and could hardly write his own name but after hearing a preacher cry out, "Eternity, Eternity, I wish that I could sound or shout that word to everyone in the streets of Sydney. You've got to meet it, where will you spend Eternity?", proved crucial in Stace's decision to tell others about his faith. In an interview, Stace said, "Eternity went ringing through my brain and suddenly I began crying and felt a powerful call from the Lord to write Eternity".

In drawing then on Stace's "Eternity" cry, where is your heart and mind on this matter?

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life" (John 3:16).

Therefore, with Stace's word of "Eternity", and Jesus' word of "Eternal Life" on your mind, I strongly encourage you to give your life to Jesus Christ if you have not already done so. To do so, pray right now this simple prayer, as Stace would have done similar in coming to encounter his Eternal Creator: "Almighty God, I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. I believe that He lived as God in human flesh, died on a cross taking my sin upon Himself, and that He rose from the dead for me, according to the scriptures. I repent. Please forgive and cleanse me of my sin. Do this, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ".

If you just prayed this simple prayer then you just gave your life to our Lord Jesus Christ and have begun your eternal journey with Him (Romans 10:8-13). Contact us now (See "Contact") as we want to guide you to become more like Jesus everyday and come to know your God-given destiny!
